All customers who pay the entry fee to play at The Mill House Play Cafe are subject to accepting the following Terms & Conditions. Please read the Terms & Conditions carefully prior to entry.


About Us

The Mill House Play Cafe is the trading name of Pollywiggle Play Centres Ltd which is registered at Companies House in England and Wales under the company number 11408467 at the registered address of 7 Henry Street, Keighley, West Yorkshire - the company head office and correspondence address is at Pollywiggle Play Centres Ltd, 1 Station Road, Treeton, Rotherham, South Yorkshire S60 5PN. Supervision of Children

1.0 All parents/guardians/carers accept full responsibility for the supervision of their child/children at all times whilst at The Mill House Play Cafe. Staff members at The Mill House Play Cafe are present to enhance the play experience of your child during a play session, however, they are not responsible for the supervision and behaviour of children.


Entry fees and refunds

1.1 All children playing at The Mill House Play Cafe must pay the correct entry fee for their age which will entitle them to entry to the play areas.

1.2. All parents/carers will be asked to complete and admissions form per child on entry. If this is not completed in detail, entry will not be granted. All details taken will adhere to the Data Protection Act 2018

1.3 The ticket price includes admission for one child’s entry and a maximum of two adults to The Mill House Play Cafe and all activities offered for one 2 hour play session.

1.4 All children admitted to The Mill House Play Cafe must hold a valid entry fee receipt obtained from our counter till on entry. Entry fees cannot be purchased and will not be accepted by third party entry fee providers.

1.5 The entry fee excludes food and beverage and access to private parties/events. Activities provided by an external provider may be subject to separate fees and will be advertised accordingly.

1.6 The person purchasing the entrance accepts these Terms & Conditions on behalf of every visitor and is responsible for ensuring these Terms are communicated to and followed by visitors attending.

1.7 Adults are not required to pay and entry fee. An ‘adult’ is a parent or guardian over the age of 18 years entering with a paid for child.

1.8 All entry fees are non-refundable. Ticket prices may change from time to time and our booking systems will be updated accordingly.

1.9 In circumstances beyond our control, we reserve the right to refuse entry to any adult or child if we feel this would impact on our safety regulations. We will endeavor to action this prior to entry, however, if this is after entry fees have been paid, no refunds will be offered.

Our Play Times, Sessions and Closures

2.0 The Mill House Play Cafe is open 9.30am – 6pm, 7 days per week. We will be closed the week between Christmas and New Year (exact dates to be published nearer the time).

2.1 Play sessions will run for a 2 hour period - the time of entry will be recorded on your till receipt and you will be informed of your session end time on entry. Management reserve the right to enforce this session end time if you do not willingly exit at the end of your session, unless you are purchasing food and beverage from The Mill House Play Cafe Bistro.

2.2 At 2 hour intervals throughout the day, customers will be expected to help clear and tidy up the play areas on a cue provided by The Mill House Play Cafe team. This ensures that at some stage throughout each play session, resources are placed in their original positions, enhancing the play experience.

2.3 On rare occasions The Mill House Play Cafe's opening hours may be subject to change without prior notice and every effort will be made by The Mill House Play Cafe to communicate this as widely as possible via social media, our website and newsletter.

2.4 The Mill House Play Cafe reserves the right to close all or part of the play village should there be a risk to the safety and security of visitors and staff.


Rules of Entry

3.0 The Mill House Play Cafe provides play provision for children of all ages and until their enjoyment of role play ceases.

3.1 All children entering The Mill House Play Cafe must be accompanied by an adult, 18 years and older. All babies, pre-walkers, toddlers and children must be supervised by a parent/guardians/carer at all times.

3.2 Any child or adult causing willful damage to the facilities, fixtures or fittings will be, or caught stealing resources, will be automatically liable to pay for any damage caused, or any resources stolen and will be escorted form the premises immediately. Management reserve the right to report incidents to the police where required.

3.3 The Mill House Play Cafe has the right to ask a person to leave should they evade our rules of entry and play.

3.4 The Mill House Play Cafe has the right to ask a person to leave should they pose a danger or threat to staff or customers. Fighting, bullying, abusive language or illegal activity of any kind will not be tolerated and will be asked to leave without refund.

3.5 To prevent the spread of infection children who are unwell, or who have been unwell, must not visit The Mill House Play Cafe for 48 hours.

3.6 If a child or adult becomes sick or infectious whilst at The Mill House Play Cafe will politely be asked to leave.

3.7 With the exception of school parties, outside food and beverage cannot be consumed on The Mill House Play Cafe premises unless agreed with management.

3.8 Food or drinks (hot or cold) are not permitted anywhere within The Mill House Play Cafe play areas - all food and drinks must be consumed in the seating areas provided.

3.9 The Mill House Play Cafe is a smoke free facility and smoking is prohibited anywhere on our site, including the use of e-cigarettes.

4.0 No pets or animals are permitted except for assistance animals.

Photography, Cameras and Mobile Devices

4.1 To ensure the privacy of other visitors is respected at all times, we politely request that visitors only take photographs of their own children for personal, private and non-commercial purposes. Unless permission has been expressly granted by us, pictures and images cannot be reproduced in any format or media other than for private viewing.

4.2 The Mill House Play Cafe only shares photographs of children playing on our website, social media or promotional materials with prior written consent from parents/carers.

Safety and Security

4.3 CCTV systems are installed internally at The Mill House Play Cafe to enhance the security of the building. The Intended purpose of CCTV is for:

• Protecting the building and its assets both during and after opening hours.

• Reducing the incidence of crime and anti-social behaviour.

• Assist in identifying, apprehending and prosecuting offenders of criminal activities.

4.4 Video monitoring of public areas on our premises is for security purposes only and is limited to uses that do not violate the individual’s reasonable expectation to privacy.


Party Booking Terms & Conditions

All party bookings and entry to The Mill House Play Cafe are subject to accepting the following Terms and Conditions. Please read the Terms & Conditions carefully before booking a party with us.


About Our Parties

1.0 All information regarding parties at The Mill House  Play cafe can be found at www.themillhouseplaycafe/parties. Please direct any questions or queries you have to [email protected] to speak to a member of our team or gain more information about the party packages we offer.

1.1 Your party booking includes admission for the number of children agreed for a 2 hour period, held during one of our scheduled party sessions.

1.2 Your party booking includes a maximum of two adults per child, entry to The Mill House Play Cafe, a dedicated party host, a reserved party table and party food and beverage for the children.

Making a Party Booking

1.3 All party bookings can be made directly using our online email system, or by speaking with a member of our team in person.

1.4 At the time of booking you will need to confirm your best estimate of the number of children attending and the booking will be made to accommodate the number of children stated. Due to The Mill House Play Cafe operating a maximum visitor numbers policy we cannot guarantee availability for additional party guests after the initial party booking is made, however we will try and accommodate this where possible.

1.5 We politely request you arrive at The Mill House Play Cafe no sooner 5-10 minutes before your party starts and children will not be permitted to play until the party session begins.

Confirmation of Booking

1.6 Once your party booking has been made, you will receive a confirmation email from The Mill House Play Cafe to the email address provided and a receipt of payment to the email address provided.

1.7 Your confirmation email includes a link to an online Party Booking Form which must be completed at least 14 days prior to your visit to inform us of food and beverage requirements, any special dietary and medical requirements along with key information regarding the birthday child and party guests.

Payment for a Party

1.8 Please note all party bookings are subject to a non-refundable booking deposit that equals 50% of the overall costs of the party payable upon booking.

1.9 The remaining 50% is payable 14 days prior to the date of the party. 14 days prior to the date of the party you will receive a reminder email to contact us via email on [email protected] or telephone 0114 236 1940 to make payment of the total outstanding balance for the party. The final number of children and adults attending must be made no later than 14 days prior to the party.

2.0 We have the right to cancel your booking if we do not receive the balance in due time.

2.1 Any additional food or costs incurred for accommodating party additions over and above that provided in one of our parties will be added to your booking and charged in full.

2.2 All adults attending the party with children who are not included within the total number of party guests will be required to pay for entry to The Mill House Play Cafe at the counter till on entry.

2.3 Adults are not charged for entry to The Mill House Play Cafe and a maximum of two adults are able to attend with each child when attending a party.

2.4 A maximum of 3 children per adult/carer will be allowed entry to each party to ensure parental supervision is maintained safely at all times throughout the session.

Cancellations and Refunds

2.5 Any cancellations made later than 14 days prior to the date of the party are NOT eligible for a refund and will be charged in full along with children who may be unable to attend or did not show.

2.6 If you need or want to cancel your party booking please contact us via email or telephone. Please note the 50% deposit made to secure your booking is non-refundable in all circumstances.

2.7 If you cancel your booking 14 days before (or more) the date of the party, you will not be required to make any further payment of the outstanding balance, your initial 50% deposit is however non-refundable.

2.8 In the unlikely event that we need to cancel your party booking for reasons beyond our control, we will ensure an alternative venue is found or a full refund offered.

2.9 Any party booking made within 14 days of the date of a party must be paid for in full at the point of booking and all food and beverage requirements must be confirmed at the time of booking.

General Party Booking Information

3.0 The person making the party booking accepts full responsibility for the supervision of children whilst at The Mill House Play Cafe, along with parents/guardians attending with the children. Staff at The Mill House Play Cafe, including the dedicated party host, are present to enhance the play experience of your child's guests during a party session, however, they are not responsible for the supervision and behaviour of children.

3.1. A parent/Carer will need to complete an admissions form for each child within the party. If the relevant details are not fully completed for each child, the management reserve the right to deny entry to the relevant party. All data provided will be done so in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018.

3.2 The party booking includes food and drink as detailed within your party booking but excludes additional food and beverages served via our bistro. It also excludes activities provided by an external provider which will be subject to separate fees and will be advertised accordingly.

3.3 All customers will receive email confirmation along with a booking reference which acts as proof of securing the party booking. Please check you have received this email following purchase. Your booking reference is required upon arrival and we take no responsibility should you not receive this email due to reasons outside of our control e.g. junk or spam filtering.

3.4 The person making the party booking accepts these Terms & Conditions on behalf of every visitor and is responsible for ensuring these Terms are communicated to and followed by visitors attending.
